ART 205 Survey of World Art II

Fall/Spring

This survey investigates the development and expansion of visual cultures from the rise of global trade networks and colonization through the contemporary period in Europe, Asia, Africa, the South Pacific and the Americas. The course will examine the major styles and movements in architecture, painting, sculpture, and the decorative arts as well as the philosophical, religious, and social context of their making in global visual cultures after 1400.
