MED 512 Advanced Reading in the Content Areas

This course is designed for reading specialists and elementary teachers. It examines the relationship between reading skills and student achievement in content area subjects and the processes that foster independent learners. Research-based teaching techniques and procedures geared to developing critical thinking skills are emphasized. 3 credit hours
