ENT 365 Social Enterprise



This course equips students with an understanding of social enterprises, their operations, and the unique opportunities they offer to creative and innovative leaders. Aspiring social entrepreneurs will learn to employ business strategies to address social and environmental issues often overlooked by the marketplace and unsustainable in the nonprofit sector. The course explores the fundamentals of social entrepreneurship, emphasizing the pivotal role these entrepreneurs play in driving positive change in their community. Throughout the course, students will develop the traits and skills required for social entrepreneurship, craft a narrative that conveys the venture’s vision and mission, engage stakeholders, and recognize their contributions, utilize a variety of tools in the social entrepreneur’s toolkit, and create a comprehensive plan for a successful social venture.  Prerequisite: 60 credits.
