CM 208 Introduction to Film Production I

In this course, students will gain an understanding of the responsibilities of the below‐the‐line departments on a film production. They will learn about the operational roles played by key personnel like the Production Assistant, Grip, Gaffer, Boom Operator, Stunt Coordinator, and Intimacy Coordinator, and how these crew members collaborate with one another on a film project. Students will also get hands‐on experience assisting with the day‐to‐day tasks that support the filmmaking process. Corequisite: CM 209.
