NTR 310 Nutrition for Special Populations

Fall and Spring Every Other Year

Pregnancy, nursing, infancy, old‐age, cancer, diabetes, surgical recovery, and recovery from starvation or long‐term malnutrition are a few of the many human conditions that necessitate special attention given to nutrition. This course will address the specific nutritional considerations each of these conditions require. It will also establish a broader way practitioners might think about special populations where nutrition is concerned.
