BIO 142 Molecules, Genes and Cells

Fall/Spring

This course will provide Biology majors with a foundation in cellular and molecular biology with an emphasis on core concepts including structure and function of macromolecules, information flow, evolution, metabolism, and cellular reproduction.  Core competencies will center on the process of science, quantitative reasoning, and communication.  Students will learn key molecular biological techniques while working collaboratively on experimental design in a lab setting. 3 hours lecture. 1 three-hour laboratory.
