CHM 134 General Chemistry I

Fall/Spring

This introductory Chemistry course is recommended for all science and Engineering majors as well as Medical Lab Science, Pre-medical, Pre-dental, Pre-veterinary, and Pre-pharmacy majors. The course includes an introduction to stoichiometry, atomic structure, chemical bonding, properties and reactions of inorganic compounds, introductory thermodynamics, acids and bases, and oxidation-reduction reactions. 3 lecture hours. Prerequisite: Two semesters of high school algebra or the equivalent. Corequisite: CHM 135
