BIO 212 Environmental BiologyFall
This course is an introduction to applied ecology for non‐majors. Class meetings review basic biological and ecological principles, including ecological efficiency, nutrient cycling, energy flow, biological diversity, and population growth. Past and current environmental issues, such as resource use and pollution, are examined in light of ecological principles through the lens of different disciplinary perspectives. This class will be of interest to Education, Recreation and Civil Engineering majors. BIO 204 recommended, but not required. Dissection is not a part of this course. 3 hours lecture.
