ART 365 Drawing IV: Character DesignFall/Spring
Breathe life into your creations. Build human, animal, and hybrid fantasy characters. Explore anthropomorphic design, facial expressions, and dynamic poses. Fuse animal characteristics with human traits for innovative character design. Regular studio sessions facilitate hands‐on practice, iterative design, and group critiques. The course also focuses on dynamic poses, drawing inspiration from natural animal movements, the development of character backstories, and emotion‐driven design exercises. By course end, students will have a personal lineup of characters ready for narrative illustration or animation. Prerequisite: ART 315 .
