ART 234 Concepts of Sculpture

Fall/Spring

This course investigates the concepts of sculpture and includes an overview of studio practices and methods. This course provides the student with a basic understanding of the methods, materials, and techniques for working in three-dimensional media. Students will hone their ability to communicate through sculpture with a variety of audiences, and analyze their own artistic style within the context of historical art movements. Classes consist of lectures, demonstrations, studio work, and individual and group critiques.
