HSC 105 Medical Terminology for Health Professions
This course is an introduction to the principles of medical word building to develop the necessary vocabulary used in health care settings. Using a body systems approach, students study, analyze, and interpret root words, prefixes, and suffixes. An emphasis is placed on spelling, pronunciation, definition, and use of medical terms. In the learning process, students are exposed to basic anatomy, physiology, pathology of disease and clinical procedures.
