SPM 230 Concepts of Social Media Platforms

Fall/Spring

Students will be introduced to social media research and best practices, then given the chance to apply this information in experiential activities. Interesting examples will draw from the sport, hospitality, and recreation industries, and then extend into other industries so that the course can encompass students’ varied disciplinary interests. Among other projects, students will develop individualized social media campaigns to grow their personal brand and to enhance the work of a real-life organization.
