G 151 Introduction to Physical GeographyFall-Spring Semesters
This course introduces the basic theories, concepts and methods of physical geography. The course will describe and explain how natural phenomena work in atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere and how they interact with one another shaping our physical environment. Laboratory exercises will use maps, topographic map, aerial photography, spatial data, and other equipments for geographical analysis. Skills obtained from this class have application in various disciplines including biology, earth space science, sustainability studies, intelligence analysis, public health, and environmental studies.
