THE 321 Lighting DesignSpring Semester, odd-numbered years
Introduction to the basic principles of lighting design. Practical projects will allow students to develop design techniques for multiple venues. This course includes script analysis pertinent to lighting design and effects, collaborative design, color theory, basic design concepts, control systems, electrical theory, the mechanics of lighting instruments, and presentation. Prerequisite: THE 254
