ANT 302 Applied Anthropology
This course prepares students to use cultural anthropology theory and methods to solve social problems. Students will learn how to link theories to appropriate solution-focused research techniques. The course will emphasize qualitative research methods, particularly interviewing, participant observation, ethnography, field work, rapid assessment, text analysis, and non-probability sampling. Students will conduct primary research and analyses and present results at the end of the semester. Prerequisite: ANT 210 or ANT 220 or permission of instructor.
