MBA 538 Controllership Issues

This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the roles and responsibilities of controllers in today’s corporate environment. Students will learn the controller’s role in facilitating investor relationships, internal control, profit planning, cost control, external financial reporting, and best practices in long range and short-term planning. The course will address internal managerial reporting, external financial reporting, and governmental tax reporting as well as the relationship between the function of the controller and other corporate executive functions. Prerequisite: MBA 527 (3 credits)
