Program Educational Objectives
- Students will gain foundational knowledge and skills related to the core principles of neuroscience and related laboratory methods.
- Students will proficiently design scientific studies and perform laboratory or field research to formulate questions, test hypotheses, analyze data, and interpret results as active members in the discovery of new knowledge.
- Students will effectively analyze, interpret, communicate, and ethically use quantitative data and information to identify, explore, and respond appropriately to questions and problems for phenomena in the natural world.
- Students will locate and analyze relevant and accurate sources of information, employ appropriate research methods, and consider interdisciplinary perspectives to develop and evaluate alternative solutions to scientific problems.
- Students will effectively and ethically communicate scientific ideas and information using the appropriate media to a range of audiences.
- Students will proactively engage with career-readiness to develop professional identities, behaviors, skills, and practices through continual reflection on their strengths and areas for growth, exploration of career and professional opportunities in neuroscience.
