Program Educational Objectives

  • Demonstrate expanded understanding of professional responsibilities of accountants, including the ethical and professional standards of the accounting profession.
  • Integrate knowledge across fields of the accounting discipline from multiple perspectives.
  • Frame accounting problems with an advanced approach and develop creative solutions to accounting issues.
  • Implement advanced design of technology for accounting, as well as advanced knowledge of its application to financial and non-financial information.
  • Apply specialized knowledge of accounting and business in a global context and demonstrate understanding of the strategic role accounting plays in business organizations and society.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with various tax research tools to formulate and substantiate opinions on tax issues.
