Program Educational Objectives

• Students will demonstrate foundational knowledge of core concepts in biology and chemistry, including laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and data interpretation.

• Students will apply base knowledge and technical competencies acquired through York College coursework to gain acceptance into, and succeed in, clinical rotations and professional practice settings.

• Students will design, perform, and evaluate laboratory procedures using proper quality assurance, safety, and regulatory standards in compliance with laboratory policies and accreditation requirements.

• Students will interpret laboratory data, troubleshoot testing discrepancies, and communicate results effectively within a healthcare team to support evidence-based clinical decisions.

• Students will demonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, and a commitment to continued learning and leadership in laboratory sciences.
