Behavioral Sciences, B.S. Learning Outcomes


Program Educational Objectives

  • Understanding and Application of Behavioral Theories: Students will critically analyze, synthesize, and apply key theories, models, and concepts from disciplines such as economics, psychology, sociology, and human services to understand and address complex real-world behavioral issues.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Students will apply critical thinking skills to analyze and evaluate research, theories, and evidence, using this knowledge to solve complex problems related to human behavior, organizations, and social structures.
  • Cultural and Social Awareness: Students will develop an understanding of how cultural, social, economic, and environmental factors shape individual and group behavior, and demonstrate the ability to apply this knowledge in diverse contexts.
  • Ethical Reasoning and Professional Practice: Students will identify and critically engage with ethical issues in behavioral science research and practice, demonstrating an understanding of professional responsibility and the impact of their work on individuals and communities.
  • Effective Communication of Behavioral Science Concepts: Students will develop strong oral and written communication skills, enabling them to effectively convey complex behavioral science concepts, research findings, and their implications to both professional and general audiences.
