Program Educational Objectives

Students will gain foundational knowledge and skills related to the core principles in the natural sciences and laboratory and field methods.

Students will proficiently design scientific studies and perform laboratory or field research to formulate questions, test hypotheses, analyze data, and interpret results as active members in the discovery of new knowledge.

Students will effectively analyze, interpret, communicate, and ethically use quantitative data and information to identify, explore, and respond appropriately to questions and problems for phenomena in the natural world.

Students will locate and analyze relevant and accurate sources of information, employ appropriate research methods, and consider interdisciplinary perspectives to develop and evaluate alternative solutions to environmental problems
