Program Educational Objectives

• Students will learn to draft, organize, and revise texts using the recursive processes associated with writing.
• Students will learn to find and use credible, relevant information ethically.
• Students will learn to write in a rhetorically effective and ethically informed manner for academic, professional, civic, and cultural audiences in a variety of genres, media, and contexts.
• Students will demonstrate a familiarity with the history and theory of language.
• Students will demonstrate fluency with grammatical and mechanical conventions as well as prose style.
