Program Educational Objectives

• Demonstrate skills necessary to function as an environmental scientist in the workplace or as a candidate for an advanced/professional degree.
• Proper use of standard laboratory and field tools, methods and techniques, and process of environmental research, data analysis and the basics of scientific writing.
• Evaluate scientific information using critical thinking and quantitative skills.
• Design and perform independent laboratory or field research to test hypotheses, analyze data, and interpret meaning of results.
• Communicate knowledge of environmental science and the results of scientific research clearly and effectively in both written and oral forms to different audiences.
• Explore environmental issues and solutions in a multi-disciplinary context.
